Two houses in Gennadi, at the south end of the island, an hour past the busy coast. Three of us run them: our mother, my brother and me. You book with us, not with a call centre.

A whole house to yourselves: three bedrooms, a kitchen you will actually cook in, and your own walled yard with lemon and orange trees, for the hours when nobody wants to be on the beach.

A renovated one-bedroom apartment with its own terrace and a quiet garden, six minutes on foot from the pebble beach. Air conditioning, a kitchenette for the mornings you would rather not go out, and the village on your doorstep.

Where you are
A long dark-pebble beach, tamarisk trees for shade, a village that still has more bakeries than bars. Lindos and the old town are an easy drive when you want them, and far away when you do not.

Good to know
Check in from 3pm, out by 11am. Late flights are normal here, so tell us your arrival time and we will wait up.
About an hour and ten from the airport by car. There is a bus down the east coast, but a car makes the south of the island much easier.
Linen, towels, wifi, air conditioning and the final clean. Parking is free on the street outside. No resort fees and no surprises at the door.
Busiest from June to September. May and October are quieter, cheaper, and still warm enough to swim.
Beyond the summer
Out of high season we rent by the month to people working on the island, and we hold longer leases on some of what we own. Tell us the dates and how many of you there are, and we will tell you honestly what is free.
